The start-up company Practical Plantoid Robotics this week introduced a set of parts for an easily assembled organic robot. It's called Plantoid and consists of plants and electronics - and looks like a real plant cyborg!
The most important thing is to provide the life of a plant located on a robot through sensors and data collection, the company notes. If this works, the device will be able to perform interesting missions and experiments - bring life to other planets (!) Or, for example, simulate survival and environmental sustainability in an unfavourable environment.
At Kickstarter, the project has so far raised about $ 500 (with a target of $ 5,000). If the startup collects the necessary amount before September 9 of this year, it will receive sponsorship. If successful, its deliveries should begin in February 2018.
