Researchs on the current state of intellectual games were conducted

The next scientific seminar of Training Innovation Center of the Institute of Information Technology was held. Presenting the report "Intellectual Games: current situation, problems and prospects", PhD student of the Institute's Bahar Ismailova spoke about main psychological and pedagogical aspects of the organization of intellectual games. She said that here includes such factors as accessibility, clarity, emotionality etc.

The speaker spoke about the origins and evolution of training games. She noted that, "The Oregon Trail", the first computer training game  formed in 1971. At present, there are thousands of games for the formation of children’s reading, speaking, writing and simple math skills.

She said that computer games are classified according to genre, the number of players and content and platform. Also gave information about "Civilization" series, "Europa Universalis", "Railroad Tycoon", "Rails Across America" ​​and "PlaceSpotting" game samples successfully applied play patterns, said that the scientific researchare carried out in this direction.

B.Ismayilova informed about digital games and motivation, international conferences on training games, world championships on crossword.

In the end, concrete proposals on the application of intellectual games in education were offered.
