The geographical names of Azerbaijan to be launched on www.eurogeographics.org

The geographical names of the Republic of Azerbaijan are being planned to be launched on www.eurogeographics.org in order to reflect them as they are written on maps published by foreign countries, the Chairman of the State Committee of Land and Cartography, academician Garib Mammadov reports. 

Note that the map “South Caucasus. 1903” has been prepared and published to prevent regular provocative actions carried out by Armenia in the field of geographic names, as well as to avoid unreasonably changing geographic names of Azerbaijan by them. The map has been developed basing on the Decree of the President Ilham Aliyev dated 18 April 2012.
