Microsoft opened the "Internet of things" laboratory in Munich, the first for the company in Europe, reports Bloomberg.
Prior to this, the company opened similar laboratories in Redmond, Washington and Shenzhen in China for those who want to invest in the "Internet of things", news.rambler.ru reports.
"Internet of things" is based on the idea that all devices - from refrigerators to industrial robots - will be connected to the worldwide network. In addition, in Germany before that, they also opened their technology labs Cisco and IBM.
Munich is the "home" for many technological giants, such as Siemens, BMW, Bosch and Adidas. In the city there are industrial lines and robots connected to the Internet.
The IDC survey last year showed that of the 1,892 companies in Western Europe, more than a third use of the "Internet of things" technologies.
