Problems of the formation of the next generation of digital libraries are investigated

Madina Saidova, head of the department No. 12 of Institute of Information Technology, presented the annual report of the department. Reporter firstly, gave detailed information about the research activities of the department. Reporter noted that application opportunities of Bibliometrik methods in the e-library, the principles of the formation of the next generation digital libraries, the development of mechanisms for the creation of a network of modern electronic library, etc. directions investigations and scientific achievements are cariied out.

She spoke about the scientific innovation and practical activities of the department, she noted that membership in the international scientific community and a number of digital libraries are being taken. At the same time, various statistical information about the activities of the institute's Electronic Library Center has been prepared.

The reprter also gave information about the scientometric parameters of department's staff and said that 6 articles published in leading scientific journals.

M.Saidova also spoke about the work done within the framework of the international cooperation. As a member Azerbaijan Library Information Consortium, to the staff of the Institute access of EBSCO, eIFL and others information databases were created.

Then, the reporter took into account the works done over the years, scientific and pedagogical activities, conferences and symposiums, including the printing of various publications and so on. He noted that in the reporting year, organized by the department " Problems of e-library formation" the republican scientific-practical conference, e-libraries form the conceptual basis of the conference sessions, technical support, legal, security, terminological issues, socio-economic and cultural aspects and other themes  47 reports were heard.

The department was considered satisfactory, questions, and suggestions were made.
