Google is 18!

The domain google.com was registered by Stanford University students Larry Page and Sergey Brin on September 15, 1997. Search engine name is not accidental: it is a modified mathematical term googol (googol), which indicates the unit with a hundred zeros.

Officially, Google was founded September 4, 1998, but sometimes it is celebrating its birthday on both dates – 7^th and 27^th September.
