The Erasmus+ Programme is a European funding programme established in 1987 offering university students a possibility of studying or doing an internship abroad in another country for a period of at least 3 months and maximum 12 months per cycle of studies. Erasmus+ now offers the possibility to go way beyond the European borders as well.
International cooperation is between Programme Countries & Partner Countries EU Member States (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom and all other countries throughout the world.
The project is managed by Erasmus+ National Agencies in Programme Countries. Individual higher education institutions (HEIs) should set up an inter-institutional agreement(s). The agreement sets a framework for sending and hosting students and staff.
Partner-Country HEIs should strengthen their links with HEIs in Programme Countries to get involved. Joint Master Degrees structure can last 12 – 18 – 24 months (60 – 90 – 120 ECTS).
Joint Master Degree scholarships
Contribution to participation costs for the Students from partner countries Up to € 9 000 per year and for the Students from programme countries Up to € 4 500 per year. Contribution to travel costs € 2 000 – 3 000 per year for the Students from partner countries and € 1 000 per year for the Students from programme countries. Living allowance (max 24 months) is € 1 000 per month.
