The Institute of Information Technology of ANAS participated in the Third Regional Internet Governance Forum

Head of the department, Ph.D. Vugar Musayev attended the Third Regional Internet Governance Forum organized by the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies of AR, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the "ADA" University. He made a report on the "E-infrastructures for science and education and cooperation with Europe".

He gave detailed information about the current situation and prospects of e-infrastructures in Azerbaijan, and about the new services offered by the national research and education network AzScienceNet of the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS.

Mr.Musayev presented the opportunities offered for the scholars and students in the country by the EaPConnect project, where Azerbaijan participates in and which is integrated by Eastern Partnership countries, including the Pan-European Research and Education Network (GEANT).

Azerbaijani scientists will have the opportunity to carry out scientific research, which requires large-volume data transfer over the network together with European counterparts over safe, reliable and sustainable GEANT network.
