Russian organizations are ranked as the main innovators in the world

Thomson Reuters Company summed up the results of technological innovation over the past decade. Main trends of global technological development are calculated by the number of registered patents and published articles in 12 areas (from the automotive industry to telecommunications). The results are presented in an analytical report, The Future Is Open: 2015 State of Innovation.

In 2014 the pace of the creation of new patents slowed down (an increase is only 3 per cent compared to the previous year, i.e., the lowest increase since the end of the global recession), analysts say. The number of scientific publications even reduced (by as much as 34 percent).
