Presidium of ANAS hosted the meeting with the Professor of Department of Institute of Information Studies, Tallinn University (Estonia) Sirje Virkus and Associate Professor Aira Lepik. Director of the Institute of Information Technology (IIT), n-secretary of ANAS, prof.,Rasim Alguliyev, head of the International Relations Department of the Institute, PhD Vugar Musayev and PhD student of the Institute Sahib Kazımov attended the meeting. 

First, Prof. talked about the purposeful implementations in the direction of building information society in the country, and about the goals of public policy. The key direction of activity of IIT is the study of information technology and various problems of information society. 

Undergraduate, master and doctoral programs in the field of information and communication are implemented at the Information Research Institute, noted Mrs. S.Virkus and provided detailed information about the activities of the research she represents. The organization deals with information and knowledge management, information management, digital libraries and information management at research organizations, she mentioned. 

Afterwards, an agreement on cooperation in the field of science, education and research was signed between the Institute of Information Studies, Tallinn University and IIT of ANAS. The document includes the organization of conferences and workshops in the relevant field, the implementation of innovative projects, such as exchange of experience and researchers.
