The 2nd Republican conference titled “Actual scientific-practical problems of software engineering” will be held

On November 25, 2026, the 2nd Republican conference titled “Actual scientific-practical problems of software engineering” will take place. The conference is organized by the Institute of Information Technology of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Heydar Aliyev Academy of the State Security Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan Technical University, and the Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Organizations Association.

The purpose of the conference is to discuss the scientific, theoretical, and practical problems, modern trends, and research outcomes of software engineering, as well as to identify promising directions in the field. Within the framework of the conference, special attention will be given to current topics such as the application of artificial intelligence technologies in software engineering, cybersecurity issues, IoT technologies, and big data processing. The event will provide a valuable intellectual dialogue platform for scientists, young researchers, and specialists to present and discuss their scientific findings. Fostering collaboration and expanding joint research opportunities among participants is also one of the primary goals of the conference. Furthermore, the outcomes of the conference will contribute to the formation of a national scientific environment in the field of software engineering.

MAIN TOPICS OF THE CONFERENCE

Scientific and theoretical foundations of software engineering: new models, methodologies, and approaches;
Software quality management: reliability and performance evaluation, testing methods;
Architecture and design of software systems;
Application of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and deep learning technologies to software engineering;
Cybersecurity and secure programming;
Secure software for big data, cloud technologies, and IoT-based distributed systems;
Software project management, risk assessment, and innovative solutions;
The role of the software engineer and competency requirements in the context of digital transformation;
Green transformation aspects of software engineering;
Reverse engineering of software systems;
Ethical and legal aspects of applying artificial intelligence in programming.

Requirements for paper submission:

Scientific papers devoted to relevant scientific and practical problems within the conference topics are accepted;
The paper must be at least 4 pages long (including tables, figures, and references);
Papers must be submitted electronically to softengineering2026@gmail.com;
The paper must reflect the relevance of the problem, problem statement, solution approaches, and the scientific-practical significance of the obtained results;
The paper format must comply with the IEEE standard (Sample: Sample IEEE (En).doc);
Formulas must be prepared using the Microsoft Equation editor (with standard parameters);
Papers submitted in Azerbaijani or Russian must include the title, abstract, and authors’ names and surnames in English at the end;
Presenters must prepare slides in MS PowerPoint in “On-screen Show” format
Papers may be submitted in one of the working languages of the conference (Azerbaijani, English, or Russian).
