Today at the Institute of Information Technology, the 5th Republican Conference “Actual multidisciplinary scientific and practical problems of information security”, organized by the Presidium of ANAS and IIT, has begun.

The development of technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, cyber-physical systems, big data, mobile technologies, cloud computing, and social networks create serious problems in terms of personal data security.

The negative consequences of the misuse of personal information may not only violate the privacy rights of individuals, but may also manifest itself in public life, in the economy and in politics, and can be a threat to national interests.

The purpose of the conference is to explore and discuss the issues of multidisciplinary issues of personal data security, the formation of a culture of information security in society, and the safe management of personal data.

At the plenary session of the V Republican Conference “Actual multidisciplinary scientific and practical problems of information security” reports on  “Problems of identification of citizens of Azerbaijan in the information society and their solutions”, “Problems of security of personal information in electronic state environment” and “Personal social media users”, “Information security issues”, “Features of the formation of legal and black business of personal data” and “Folklore manifestations of personal data sensitivity in the context of national mentality and stereotypes” will be delivered.

In the second half of the day, the conference will continue its work at the sectional sessions on “Scientific and Technological Problems of Personal Data Security”, “Scientific and Humanitarian Problems of Personal Data Security” and “Scientific and Practical Problems of Personal Data Security”.
