The Russian startup Promobot offers an unusual service - the creation of custom Robo-C androids with any appearance at the request of the customer. This is not about a mask, but about the most realistic copy of a person’s face, designed to imitate facial expressions. This is the only function of robots - in fact they are a kind of "talking heads" that perform welcoming functions.

Promobot robots cannot move, but their torso and neck have three degrees of freedom to orient the car relative to the interlocutor. Facial expression mechanisms consist of 18 separate nodes and can collectively take 600 different positions, which allows you to simulate emotions and change facial expression during a dialogue. Although this can hardly be called a full-fledged conversation, now the robot knows and uses about 100,000 speech blocks.

The creators of Robo-C promise a meticulous reproduction of those individuals who choose customers. In the case of real people, this will be a full scan and a detailed digitization of the appearance, but if you wish, you can take the image of a historical person. For example, the company has already manufactured an Einstein robot for one of the technology exhibitions. Another robot, with the neutral face of an official, will work in a state service center, acting as a clerk.
