They plan to expand their activities - the printer is capable of printing objects up to 30 m long, 6.7 m wide and 3 m high.

Researchers plan to commercialize their activities: they will print ships using plastic and wood.

“Maine is the most wooded state in the country, and now we have a 3D printer to use this rich resource,” the researchers noted. They also raised $ 20 million for research aimed at creating new biomaterials suitable for 3D printing of large objects.
