Head of department of the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS, PhD in Economics, associate professor Alovsat Aliyev presented semi-annual report of the department. First, he presented the implementations of the department within the framework of the research activity.

Analysis of the economy of the information society, and the development of relevant mechanisms and models were being realized, the essence, structure and characteristics of information and knowledge based economy were analyzed, the state of the art in this field was studied, he mentioned.

The research fellows of the department participated in submitting grant projects, as well as in providing consulting services in "Management and informatization of economic and social systems", he added.

Noted that the research fellows of the department are involved in establishing international cooperation with Istanbul, Yildiz Technical University, Belarus Hi-Tech Park, and Tashkent University of Information Technologies for the development of industrial park.

A.Aliyev touched upon the academic activity, various publications, propagation of research and practical achievements in the media, advertising and marketing activities.

The research fellows of the department are expected to attend the international scientific-practical conferences to be hosted by Japan, China and Kazakhstan.

The report was satisfactory; a number of proposals were performed.
