Russian scientists have taught robots to make decisions independently August 01, 2019 | 11:42 / Interesting information

Russian scientists from the Far Eastern Federal University and the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences have developed software with which robots with artificial intelligence can make decisions in a changing environment, FEFU reported.

"The robots themselves can determine and correct the trajectories and modes (speeds) of moving the tools when they are processing the details, in conditions of uncertainty and variability of the surrounding working environment," the report says, RIA Novosti reports.

According to scientists, robots operate with an accuracy of about 0.5 millimeter, even when performing power operations. A robot can build a virtual image of its workspace, recognize the workpiece and its location. Based on this image, artificial intelligence determines the movement trajectories of its working tools.
