Paralyzed people will be able to communicate via electronic devices July 19, 2019 | 10:13 / Interesting information

Neuralink, the company Ilona Mask, presented the technology of transmitting signals from the brain to a computer, writes TASS. This technology, in the form of a chip implanted into the brain, which transmits a signal wirelessly, will allow paralyzed people to control electronic devices and actively contact the world. How exactly the device looks like is unknown.

But some time ago it became known that in the company's arsenal there are “miracle fibers” that are thinner than a human hair. They need to implant in the brain, and they allow to detect the activity of neurons. There is also a robot designed to implant these fibers under the guidance of a neurosurgeon.

The company has so far tested its latest development on animals. But next year, she hopes to get the go-ahead for clinical trials involving people. Only patients with complete paralysis will be attracted to the first trial. They will put four implants in the brain.
