The next scientific seminar of Department No. 8 was held at the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS. The seminar focused on the development of indicators for inclusive economic development. The head of the department, Ph.D. in economics, associate professor Alovsat Aliyev spoke in detail about the problem statement and analysis of research works, the need to assess the level of inclusivity, indicators of inclusive growth of international economic organizations, as well as the methodological basis for assessing the level of inclusivity.

Speaking about the fact that in modern countries the main direction of development is the formation of an economy of information and knowledge, he said that the interests of all citizens, especially those who need greater material and physical protection, should be taken into account when forming a knowledge society and economy. He noted that a knowledge-based economy depends on the activities of each member of society.

According to him, to manage the process of inclusive economic development, research and development of methodological bases for the problems of its measurement, evaluation are one of the most pressing and important issues.

The head of the department said that, in accordance with the international methodology developed by the World Economic Forum (WEF), the essence of the inclusive development index consists of three main sub-indices called Growth and Development, Inclusion, Intergenerational Equality and Sustainability, and added that these sub-indices were based on the other 12 sub-indicators.

Then the speaker spoke about the methodological basis for assessing the level of inclusiveness .. He presented a system of sub-indices and indicators for measuring the level of inclusivity of the development of the national economy. He noted that the assessment is carried out at the international, national, regional and sectoral levels, and the assessment of the level of national inclusiveness can be made in several sublevels and aspects.
