The head of Department No. 12 of the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS Madina Saidova presented the department’s semiannual report for 2019. M.Saidova told about the research work carried out in the department, and informed that indices were developed to assess the activity of scientific journals and researchers. She noted that methods are being developed for the multi-dimensional assessment of the activities of scientific organizations and researchers.

The speaker spoke in detail about the scientific-innovative and practical activities of the department staff. She said that a number of measures were taken to complete, catalog, systematize and disseminate scientific and technical information. She also stressed that work continues on membership in international scientific and technical societies.

Speaking about the international scientific cooperation of the department, M. Saidova said that work is underway related to membership in the Azerbaijan Library Information Consortium, and also that work is underway to improve the management system of the Alephino library.

She also spoke about the scientific and pedagogical and scientific and organizational activities of the department, participation in scientific and technical conferences, the publication of articles in well-known scientific journals, the preparation of books and booklets for various purposes, as well as work to promote scientific and practical results in the media.
