The ceremony of presenting the 15th National Internet Prize of Azerbaijan NETTY 2019 took place on June 19, officially supported by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies, the Ministry of Culture, etc.

Speaking at the event, the Deputy Minister of Transport, Communications and High Technologies Elmir Velizade read a letter of congratulations from Minister Ramin Guluzade to the participants in connection with the 15th anniversary of the National Internet Award NETTY.

The best among the participating national websites, social pages, applications and projects in the following nominations were named: “Sport and Health”, “Economy and Business”, “Education and Science”, “Culture and Creativity”, “Information and News”. “Electronic Services and Electronic Commerce”, “Society and Family”, “Tourism and Recreation”, “Best Social Page”, “Choice of Virtual Jury”, “Best Video Project of the Year”, “Mobile Application of the Year”.

The prize was awarded to the vice-president of ANAS, director of the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS, academician Rasim Aliguliyev in the nomination “For contribution to the development of information technologies”. The award of Academician R.Aliguliyev was received by the deputy director of the Institute of Information Technology, Ph.D., Associate Professor Rashid Alakbarov.

The scientist said that the professional team of the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS plays a huge role in the success of academician R. Aliguliyev. He informed that the institute supports the implementation of the state policy in the field of the information society in Azerbaijan.

R. Alakbarov noted that the cooperation between the Institute of Information Technology and the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies has been going on for a long time.

In conclusion, R. Alakbarov thanked all those who contributed to the implementation of this competition.
