International certification training was held on the basis of the standard “Information Security ISO / IEC 27001: 2013. Security methods. Information security management systems. Requirements” within the Cyber Security Week organized in our country for the first time on March 11-15 by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies. The training was co-organized by the Azerbaijan Standardization Institute and the Information and Communication Technologies Applying and Training Center of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies.

The objective of the training is to teach local specialists the requirements and ways of implementing the international standard adopted by ISO / IEC 27001 - Information Security Management Systems. At the training, along with the study of all requirements of the international standard, an international examination will also be held to obtain the official status of an auditor to apply this standard in organizations.

Speaking at the opening of the training, Director of the Information and Communication Technologies Applying and Training Center Rauf Jabbarov stressed the importance of development of information security in modern times and noted that it is important for experts to know the requirements of international standards in this area. He said that the Information and Communication Technologies Applying and Training Center attaches special attention to the training of local cyber security specialists and organization of trainings in various directions in this field.

Director of Training and Education Center of Azerbaijan Institute of Standardization and Management Systems and Personnel Certification Authority Saday Aliyev said that providing consumers with competitive products and quality services, the profitability of the enterprise is directly determined by the competence of its personnel.

“Taking into account this factor, personnel certification is carried out worldwide in accordance with international standards. At the end of the process, the personnel will have the opportunity to develop its knowledge and skills in professional activities.”

Saday Aliyev noted that the personnel certification allows the organization to determine the competence of its specialists.

The training is conducted on the basis of the training program of the International Organization IRCA by Halil Celik, the member of this organization, head and professional instructor of Esenek Training Center of the Republic of Turkey. According to Halil Celik, according to the results of the international exams to be held at the end of the trainings, the participants will be given certificates registered at the International organization IRCA.

“Local specialists who successfully pass this exam will be given a certificate of chief auditor for the implementation of ISO 2700 standard,” – said the professional trainer.

It should be noted that the training held at the Information and Communication Technologies Applying and Training Center of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies will run until March 16.
