Neural network learned how to create photographs of non-existent people February 18, 2019 | 12:00 / Technological innovations

The programmer has created a site that gives an infinite number of photos of people who actually do not exist.

The author of this site, programmer Philip Wang, thispersondoesnotexist.com, has uploaded many photos of real people to the neural network. The program is able to identify individual parts in portraits - hair, eyes, lips, face shape and other details.

The site combines different parts from real photos in random order and it turns out realistic photos, reports The Verge. Even if you load 100 portraits of real people, then combining them you can get hundreds of thousands of fake people who will be different from each other.

This algorithm works not only with photos of people but also with graffiti or other images. The creator of the site checked the work on the images of characters from the anime.
