Artificial Intelligence will be able to deal with blackouts in power grids January 30, 2019 | 04:33 / Interesting information

Russian developers from the NTI Competence Center have developed artificial intelligence that will deal with blackouts in power systems. This writes TASS with reference to the Director of the Center Alexander Voloshin.

A neural network for analyzing power grids will automatically replenish its database with up-to-date information on the situation in the territory of its work, using inference mechanisms for making decisions. In addition, the algorithms will be able to predict the amount of residual life of the power system elements, as well as formulate recommendations for the optimization of repair work to maximize the reliability of the power system.

The first stage of testing artificial intelligence will be held at the end of 2019. In the future, the NTI intends to sell ready-made software and hardware systems that can be used by production and engineering companies in the design, construction and operation of power systems.
