It is known that since 2003 Ph.D. exam in Informatics has been held at the Institute of Information Technology. Exams are carried out electronically from June 2013. Distant education centers of the institute operate at Ganja and Nakhchivan Branch of ANAS, Nakhchivan State University. Since 2016, science exams for the researchers living in those areas have been held in remote form over the Internet.

On January 15, at the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS Ph.D. examination in informatics were launched.

Various term courses have been organized at the TIC for Ph.D. students from September 2018.

The exams are held twice a year - in January and June.
