With a new battery, smartphones will last a week of work without recharging December 10, 2018 | 03:09 / Interesting information

Batteries will be created from a new material that can store up to eight times more energy.
Scientists under the leadership of Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2015 Robert Grubbs have developed a smartphone battery that can hold a charge for a week. Reported by Science Alert.

This battery will be created on fluoride. Li-ion batteries are now available. The problem with fluoride is that it gets very hot, letting in energy. Scientists have solved this problem by creating a solvent, due to which fluoride anions are mixed with electrons at room temperature.

The fluoride battery has a higher energy density. It can store up to eight times more energy than current batteries. Note that the development is at the initial stage and its implementation will take time.
