The company Naked Labs has opened the sale of a smart mirror with a 3D scanner. The device scans the human body, creates its three-dimensional model and tells in detail about all the changes in the figure.

Development provides the most complete information about the physical state of a person: weight, body mass index, health status, as well as detailed dimensions and parameters (for example, the length of specific muscles).

The principle of the device is simple: a person should stand on the scales-platform, located in front of the mirror. The platform records information about the mass of the body, rotating around its axis - the mirror at the same time scans the figure from all sides. The whole process takes 15 seconds.

The smart mirror sends the received data to the smartphone in a special application. As a result, the user sees on the screen a three-dimensional model of his body with a detailed description of the parameters and characteristics. You can use the mirror not only to control weight and physical shape, but also for online selection of clothes, tailoring things to order.

The device weighs 13.5 kilograms, the height of the frame is 1.5 meters. The back panel consists of plastic, the side parts are made of extruded aluminum. The mirror is equipped with three cameras of the RealSense 410 series.

Curiously, the device does not calculate the percentage of body fat using bioelectrical impedance analysis (standard for such devices). He calculates the figures by comparing the person's images with the body form database and DEXA data (this is the type of scan that measures the bone mineral density).
