Head of Deapartment N.18 of the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS Medina Saidova  presented the semi-annual report of the department headed by her. The reporter pointed out that research was done to develop indexes for evaluating the activities of scientific journals and researchers. Research on the topic "Development of scientific method and algorithms with the use of modern information technologies" were completed and the thesis is being prepared.

The speaker provided information about research on the establishment of intelligent systems in the e-government environment. Proposals on studying and evaluating the Azerbaijani language have been developed with the application of ICT based on international standards in this direction, she noted.  She added that the role of CEFR in the study of foreign experience in foreign language proficiency and the European experience in foreign language proficiency in our country was studied.

The head of the department said that within six months, research was carried out to detect and avoid "propagandistic publishing" and "stolen journals" in international academic databases, problems and solutions of intellectual e-libraries in Azerbaijan, as well as modeling the impact of information on social networks.

The lecturer gave information about the organization of the interactive workshop " Elmmetrics hour", the management of the "Wiki Group", giving consultations on the selection of journals , as well as the work done in the E-library Center.

M.Saidova noted that the institute was provided with opportunity to use the EBSCO database for international collaboration and collaboration with Exlibris and the Alephino Library Management System was accomplished.

She also informed about   scientific-organizational activities of department’s staff participation in scientific-technical conferences, publication of scientific articles in the international and republican journals recommended by the AR Supreme Attestation Commission. 

Discussions were held around the report, a number of proposals and recommendations were put forward.
