On April 26, a regular meeting of the Department of Biological and Medical Sciences of ANAS was held. The event was attended by members of the office bureau, heads of scientific institutions, professors of ANAS for separation and invited employees on relevant issues.

Firstly,academician-secretary of the department, academician Ahliman Amiraslanov brought to attention the issues on the agenda.

From the scientific and organizational issues, first of all, the issue of upgrading the network infrastructure of the Institute of Genetic Resources of ANAS was considered. The academician-secretary of ANAS, the director of the Institute of Information Technologies, academician Rasim Alguliyev informed about the directions of the formation of electronic science in the academy, the integration of the AzScienceNet network into the GÉANT network infrastructure, the state of electronic science in the Institute of Genetic Resources, the modernization of the network infrastructure, opportunities and perspectives.

Then the report on the results of scientific and scientific-organizational activities of the branch in 2013-2017 was discussed. After the discussions, it was decided to submit a report to the Presidium.
