Scientific-research plan for department No 2 of the Institute of Information Technologies of ANAS was discussed. Head of the department, PhD in technical sciences Yadigar Imamverdiyev gave detailed information about presentations of the Department in the current year, reports in the scientific workshops and conferences, publication of articles in well-known scientific magazines and other works to be done.

He noted that scioentific studies are planned to be carried out information security management models and methods in the field of information security provision in the Big data, methods of intelligent monitoring of computer networks, models of security of cloud technologies, information security management strategies in organizations, methods of detection of botnets, mobile e-signature algorithms and authentication protocols, methods for detecting traditional and targeted attacks in cyber-physical systems, methods of ensuring information security of cryptanalyst systems, etc. Development of new innovative approaches, methods and algorithms are to be considered to provide information security in various threat environments based on innovative approaches like Big Data, Deep Learning, Machine Learning, Process Mining, Soft computing, etc.

The rapporter also informed about the participation of the department staff in the scientific conferences, seminars and symposiums, and the works to be done in the publication of articles in well-known scientific journals.

The reporter noted that the department participated in grant projects of the Science Development Fund under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) Science Foundation.

A detailed exchange of views on the subject was made, and the speaker answered numerous questions.

At the end, academician-secretary of ANAS, director of the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS, academician Rasim Alguliev made a number of suggestions and recommendations on the annual plan of the department. The scientist emphasized the importance of increasing the efficiency of scientific research on information security issues in the department.
