The annual report of Department No17 of the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS was listened.

Head of the sector department, Rasim Mahmudov, gave information about the research works carried out in the relevant structural division. He noted that during the year researches carried out in the direction of multidisciplinary scientific-theoretical problems of formation of information society and Internet science, development of mechanisms for the formation and effective management of e-government, analysis of information war technologies in wiki environment, development of mechanisms for monitoring and evaluation of Internet media resources, etc. He said that 2 books, 10 articles and 11 conference material were published as a result of these scientific studies. Some of them were published in prestigious editions of foreign countries.

Rasim Mahmudov noted that this year the Department has also done considerable work in the scientific and innovational direction. He said that scientific support was provided for implementation of the relevant paragraphs of the "State Program for the implementation of the National Strategy for the Development of Information Society in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2014-2017." At the same time, the Viki-Center has carried out relevant scientific research, training courses, content provision, propaganda and monitoring, and reports were implemented on various parameters.

The presentation showed that in the reporting year the scientific and pedagogical activity of the department staff was also productive.

According to R.Mahmudov, employees of the department have been active in propagating their scientific achievements and ideas of the information society in the media, and have broadcast 17 different TV channels throughout the year.

The lecturer also informed about the activities carried out in the field of scientific-organizational and practical activities within the framework of international scientific cooperation in the department.

At the end, academician-secretary of the Institute, academician Rasim Aliguliev, director of the institute, gave recommendations on deepening of scientific researches, preparation of articles as a result of research and publication in authoritative magazines.

The activity of the department was considered satisfactory, a number of opinions and suggestions were sounded.
