At the next meeting of the Scientific Board of the Institute of Information Technologies of ANAS, discussions were held on participation of institute staff in grant projects. Academician-secretary of the ANAS, academician Rasim Alguliev gave information about the recently announced competition by State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) Science Foundation  to support the activity of the scientist and to create additional creative opportunities for ANAS scientist's. He said that the competition involved drilling, oil extraction and  application of innovative techniques in the processes, application of information and communication technologies (ICT) in oil and gas complex, computer software and ICT application in optimization of production. The scientist advised the institute employees to actively participate in this project provided by SOCAR, encourage scientific activities and engage in competitive research.

Noting the importance of participation in the discussions, Deputy Director on Technology, PhD in Technology, Associate Professor Rashid Alakbarov, Heads of Departments, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor Alovsat Aliyev, PhD in Technics Bikas Agayev and others noted the importance of participation in such competitions emphasized the importance of participation.
