The well-known car company Ford, along with the Strawberry Energy startup, has developed a "smart" benches - "Ford Smart Benches" for the "smart" city. These benches allow pedestrians to use wireless Internet and power electronic devices.

According to vladtime.ru, benches that will only be installed on London's streets will work with solar batteries and their use will be completely free. The "smart" benches, as well as measuring the temperature and humidity of the air, can provide information about the concentration level of carbon in the atmosphere. This information will be useful for government agencies, academics and pedestrians.

With the help of Ford Smart Benches, it will be possible to send donations to British charity organizations. Funds collected through "smart" benches will be doubled by Ford Motor Company Fund charity fund.

It should be noted that more than 20 "smart" benches are installed in London and 20 new Ford Smart Bench will be installed in the first phase of the project.
