Colleagues of Dartmouth College have created a new application. It will help people of middle and old age to independently control the course of mental disorders and other chronic diseases.

Doctors can remotely monitor patients through the application and intervene in the event of problems, meddaily.ru reports. The study of specialists involved 10 people with serious mental disorders and other chronic diseases. The average age of the volunteers was 55.3 years.

The researchers found that the participants considered the application to be simple, convenient, and satisfied with it. Even people who did not understand modern technology could easily use the new application. According to scientists, during the treatment of patients, mobile devices should be actively used.
