Facebook launches its electronic Marketplace in 17 European countries. The service allows users of social networks Facebook to find, buy and sell products in the communities to which they are subscribed. Previously, the Marketplace was only available to users in the United Kingdom, Canada, Chile, Mexico, New Zealand and the US.

Now the Facebook Marketplace will be available to residents of Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.

While the Facebook Marketplace is available only in the application. By pressing a special button, potential consumers can view photos of goods that other users of the social network put up for sale. In the application, you can also set a filter to search for products based on geolocation, category and price.

In Europe, there are already several electronic trading platforms where you can buy goods of the former use: Marktplaats in the Netherlands, Gumtree in the United Kingdom, Patatam in France, Letgo in several countries and, of course, eBay.

According to Facebook, in May more than 18 million new products were on sale at the Marketplace in the United States and this figure continues to grow.
