In the US, a cheap 3D scanner for the remains of dinosaurs was created. The device allows you to obtain high-quality images of such complex objects, as, for example, the skull of Tyrannosaurus.

According to dni24.com , a year ago, American palaeontologists found that the remains of dinosaurs in their size are too large for existing scanners. On their initiative, engineers from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology hastily began to develop a new apparatus. As a result, it was created a more impressive in size and more affordable device, in the perspective of which none of the experts doubted.

The developers stressed that a cheap 3D-scanner will be a great help in the work of dentists, palaeontologists, anthropologists and veterinarians. The new scanner uses a Microsoft Kinect camera equipped with a depth sensor.
