The next scientific seminar on “Data mining” course based on "Data Mining: Concepts and Techniques" book of Department No13 of Institute of Information Technology ofANAS was held. The seminar is dedicated to discussion of the fourth edition of the book - "Data storage and online analytical processing"

Presenting the report the magistrate of the Institute Shalala Mansurova gave detailed information about data storage, its main features and models, metadatas and multilevel data storage architecture which includes in the fourth chapter of book. Also here is given some examples of application of data storage, OLAP servers, typical OLAP applications, and so on.

Data cube allows for multidimensional modeling and visualization of data. She presented an example related to the application of OLAP operations in multidimensional data cube. She added that the "roll-up", "drill-down", "slice and dice", "pivot" operations are implemented over sample.

In the end, questions were answered. Corresponding member of ANAS, doctor of technical sciences Ramiz Aliquliyev advised her to deepen her reserch in this direction.
