Institute of Information Technology held a scientific seminar on subject ''Methodological basis of scientific research". Head of department, doctor of technical sciences Ramiz Aliguliyev delivered a report  on subject “ Instructions for successing  in the publication of scientific articles”. He informed about writing models of scientific articles, its types, structure, and so on. Conclusions should be noted in the name of article, keywords should not be more than 20 words, he noted. Questions and abbreviations should not be used.

The main structure of the article consists of introduction, methods, results and a discussion, he said.  The theme of article, the urgency of the issue, significance of research, modern state, development, challenges and author’s purpose should be noted in introduction. It is necessary to avoid duplication of information  in conclusion.  It is essential to interpret key findings in conclusion, to determine its similarities and differences with other researches, future studies.

According to scholar, while choosing scientific journal for the publication of the article, it is important to take into account goals and direction of journal, impact factor, frequency of printing, scientific bases and reader scope.  Otherwise, lack of technical requirements, incompetency of article with journal direction, incompleteness, misunderstanding and so on. leads to  failure  in acceptance of the article.

In the end, there was an exchange of views on the subject, many questions were answered.
