A regular scientific seminar of No. 2 department was held at the Institute of Information Technology. The event was dedicated to  the discussion of his thesis for the degree of Doctor of  Sciences, head of department, PhD, associate professor Yadigar Imamverdiyev said.

Later, applicant, PhD, associate professor Ramiz Shikhaliyev informed about the urgency, purpose of thesis on subject "Development of models and methods for  intellectual monitoring of Computer network" on 3338.01- ''System analysis, control and information processing" speciality. 

The scale of computer networks and growth of the processed information, increasing in the number of  network users and enchancing of functional capacity of services and equipment makes their monitoring difficult and solution of important issues for ensuring their constant operational state  dependent on the human factor, he said.

The objective of thesis is development of intellectual monitoring methods and models for configuration, reliability, efficiency, state of security of computer networks and collection, storage, precise analysis of necessary data about the activity of computer networks, he noted.

Optimization model for online monitoring of computer networks, architecture for intellectualization active monitoring of computer network by the use of real-time expert system, monitoring model of computer network based on data flow model, approach for  analysis and to classification of network traffic and method for detecting trends based on  detection of a series of templates algorithm were developedç he noted.

In the end, there was an exchange of views on the subject, many questions were answered.
