The first Spartakiad on checkers, chess, table tennis and football among the 15 institutes of the Academy of Sciences is being organized with the support of the Independent Trade Union.

On September 28, the final matches of the competition took place on checkers at the Institute of Physics. According to the results of the competition held among women, the employee of the Institute of Soil Science Inja Maharramova ranked the 1^st, and the employees of the Institute of information Technology of ANAS  Khayala Əbdulhuseynova and Ilaha Ismayilzadeh ranked 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Employee of the Institute of Physics Sakin Jabbarov ranked the 1st, Shakin Bakhshiyev from the Institute of Control Systems ranked the 2nd, and Yadigar Jafarov from the Institute of Radiation Problems ranked the 3rd.

Note that I Spartakiad will run until October 7.
