Today, Department No. 1 of the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS held a seminar.  Senior research fellow of the department Gozalova Hijran spoke about “Studying international experience in Data Science teaching", the rapid development of Big Data technologies, which covers all the fields of activity.

"Data Science" is about the large-scale data collection, processing, and revealing the secret knowledge from them, the reporter said. Becoming a rapidly developing area in the world, it has some basic problems, she noted.

referring to the history and development of Data Science, Mrs. Gozalova, mentioned the need for highly skilled professionals named "data scientist" in order to deal with this area. Note that "data scientists" are in high demand today.

The speaker also spoke about the current development of the education system in Azerbaijan. Based on international practice, an inclusion of "Data Science" in the curriculum in the country is one of the requirements of the modern era.

In the end, there was an exchange of views on the subject, many questions were answered.
