Project Chief Engineer, Ph.D. Shafaqat Mahmudova presented the annual report of the department for the current year. She talked about executed works  in term of scientific-research, scientific-innovation, and scientific-pedagogical activity, participation at scientific-technical conferences, seminars, and symposiums, publishing of articles at scientific journals, preparing different setting books, the popularization  of scientific-practical results in Mass media and so on. 

Algorithms were developed for the formation of etalon description and analysis of characteristic features to determine racial and ethnic identity. Biometric identification system was developed, and establishment principles of biometric networks based on these algorithms were investigated, she stated.

Available  confidence models of software products on the topic of “Theoretical basics of program engineering and  investigation of quality indicators of software’’ are being investigated, as well as, development levels of software engineering, various theoretical views, international experience and conferences, its role in education, security issues, economical problems are being studied, reporter stated. Grant projects on the “Development of methods and algorithms for determination of race and ethnic identity basing on descriptions” and ‘’Establishment of biometric racial and ethnic identification system’’ were completed and introduced to Science Development Fund under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
