The current state, prospects and development of broadband Internet was discussed at the scientific seminar held at the Institute of Information Technology. Sector chief Mammad Rashidov and programmer Oktay Alakbarov made presentations.

M.Rashidov reported on the classification of broadband Internet technology, ADSL and DOCSIS technologies. He talked about development prospects and future standards of Wi-Fi technology developed by "Wi-Fi Alliance".

Another reporter O.Alakbarov spoke about High-Speed Packet Access, which is considered as the shift to 4G mobile communication technologies by he expert.
