First master students of the academy were met at the Presidium

Today Presidium of ANAS held a meeting with the first Master students of the Academy. The President of ANAS, academician Akif Alizadeh opened the meeting with the participation of the members of the Presidium, mass media representatives and institutes’ directors.

A.Alizadeh congratulated the Masters on the occasion of the first day of the 2015-2016 academic year. A course of master's degree at the Academy was initiated by the President Ilham Aliyev, he stated. President of ANAS highly appreciated this occasion and hoped for obtaining valuable achievements in science, and expressed its importance in terms of the development of innovative science: “Masters should practice in laboratories and research institutions. Experience in the scientific environment will play a major role in the effectiveness of the future performance of the student."

Later the President expressed his advice to the masters: "Our aim is to help students to get a valuable scientific degree at the laboratories of research institutions.”

Note that from the current year admission exams will be carried out in 7 specialties. Actually, the process is experimental yet. The number of specialties will be increased in the future, he said.

The masters will study information science and English course at the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS, and appropriate measures have been taken in this direction at the institute, noted the President.

Afterward, the President of the ANAS presented student cards and laptops to the students and wished them success in their education and future life.
