Besides the non-official holidays as “Internet Day”, there exists an “International Internet Free Day”.
The holiday founded by the Great Britain is Institute for Social Inventions is celebrated since early 2000s. Of course, significant changes have taken place since then in the world of the global network. In the same period, the number of Internet users was very few, and it was easier to get them away from the global network. However, this number has increased by 5 times in last decade and reached 3 billion; and the Internet has rapidly penetrated into all aspects of life.
International Day without Internet is celebrated on last Sunday of January. It is intended to have one day with no computer, internet. Just be offline and go and visit your relatives, friends; go to park etc.
