Institute of Information Technology strengthens data resource processing platform

The Institute of Information Technology of the Ministry of Science and Education consistently implements measures to support scientific research, apply AI technologies, and enhance cybersecurity capabilities. As a continuation of these efforts, and with the support of the Ministry of Science and Education, the computing infrastructure of the Institute of Information Technology's AzScienceNet Network Operation Center has been equipped with new server hardware.

The Institute informed AZERTAC that the newly created additional resources will enable more efficient implementation of computationally intensive research, such as large-scale data processing, modeling, machine learning, the development of AI-powered applications, and scientific experimentation.

The new server equipment will also expand the cloud and virtualization capabilities of the “AzScienceNet” network. This will create the necessary conditions for developing new digital services for scientific and educational institutions, as well as for forming the computing environment required for the development, training, and implementation of AI projects.

The efforts carried out in this direction will also make a significant contribution to strengthening the cooperation of the country's higher education institutions with international scientific and educational institutions and the implementation of joint research projects and their participation in international initiatives in fields requiring artificial intelligence and high-performance computing resources, as well as to expanding their integration into global scientific networks.

As a result of putting the new equipment into operation, the quality, reliability, and sustainability of "AzScienceNet" services will further increase, modern digital infrastructure capabilities for scientific and educational institutions will expand, and new opportunities will emerge for applying AI technologies in scientific research and the educational process.
