Institute of Information Technology: The development of the national cybersecurity ecosystem is one of the key tasks in Azerbaijan

Establishing and developing the national cybersecurity ecosystem is one of the primary tasks in Azerbaijan.

APA-Economics reports that Academician Rasim Alguliyev, Vice-President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) and Director General of the Institute of Information Technology of the Ministry of Science and Education, stated this during his speech at the 4th National Cybersecurity Forum held in Baku.

According to the scientist, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has implemented a consistent policy in the field of digital state-building and cybersecurity in recent years. As a result of this policy, the digitalization of public services has accelerated, and interest in and demand for digital platforms have increased.

“The relevance of cybersecurity issues is growing in tandem with the expansion of digital transformation. For this reason, establishing a national cybersecurity ecosystem and ensuring its resilience is considered one of the priority areas in the country. The main goal of this ecosystem is to ensure the security of the digital state, protect information resources, and strengthen the preparedness of government agencies against cyber threats,” Academician Rasim Alguliyev noted.
