The next seminar was held at the Institute of Information Technologies under the Ministry of Science and Education (MSE) of the Republic of Azerbaijan to discuss the current year's work on the MSE-funded research project titled "Development of intellectual methods and algorithms for the formation of a cyber-sovereign state and the provision of its information security."
At the meeting, Academician Rasim Alguliyev, Vice-President of ANAS and Director General of the Institute, delivered a speech, noting that purposeful activities have commenced at the Institute for the investigation of various problems of cyber-sovereignty.
The academician recommended that the scholars and specialists working at the institute conduct multi-faceted research regarding the threats and risks posed by cyber sovereignty. He also emphasized the importance of publishing the scientific results obtained in prestigious international journals.
Discussions were also held at the event on preparations for the scientific session in November of the current year, which is dedicated to the "Year of Constitution and Sovereignty" and International Information Security Day and focuses on "Actual scientific-theoretical and practical problems of ensuring state cyber sovereignty," with proposals and recommendations for preparing high-quality presentations being put forward.
Subsequently, the project participants presented a report on the work carried out during the second and third quarters of the year. An exchange of views on research directions was held, and participants' questions were answered.
Academician R. Alguliyev offers proposals on scientific issues, expressing confidence that the project's research will make a significant contribution to the development of Azerbaijan's science.
