World Information Day is celebrated today

November 26 is celebrated as World Information Day. On this day in 1992 the first International Information Forum was held on the initiative of the International Informatization Academy. This day was officially registered by UNESCO in 1992.

Information has always played a very important role in human life. As a result of social progress and rapid development of science and technology, its role has grown immeasurably.
