Five Technology and Innovation Support Centers (TISCs) are planned to be created in the second quarter of this year, said Alexander Shumilin, chairman of the State Committee on Science and Technology at an expanded meeting of the board of the National Center for Intellectual Property (NCIS).

The creation of the TISC network is an international project initiated by the World Intellectual Property Organization to build innovative capacity through the provision of information and scientific and methodological support. “In accordance with it, a three-level network of centers is envisaged in the republic,” Alexander Shumilin explained. “The first-level TISC was created on the basis of the National Center for Intellectual Property, the second level on the basis of the Republican Scientific and Technical Library and its regional branches, third-level centers will appear on base of organizations and enterprises.
