In Japan, developed an unmanned electric tractor

The Japanese company Kubota has demonstrated its latest development, which can greatly facilitate the work of farmers - an unmanned electric tractor. An agricultural machine called the X tractor was on display at an exhibition in Kyoto.

Japanese agriculture is experiencing difficult times - an acute shortage of labor is recorded in the industry. It is assumed that unmanned vehicles designed to perform a variety of agricultural work will be able to rectify the situation. The creators of the "X-tractor", which is literally crammed with the most modern technologies, do not doubt it.

As planet-today.ru reports, the X tractor is controlled by powerful artificial intelligence, which receives information about the world from a variety of sensors and cameras. The tractor is equipped with geolocation systems and can autonomously move through ordinary and rice fields, as well as cope with a wide range of tasks. The machine, as its creators proudly note, can analyze the weather and decide for itself when to go into the field to sow or harvest.

Caterpillar movers, which drive the tractor, are connected to electric power plants, but the parameters of the latter are not specified. It is only known that the tractor is equipped with lithium-ion batteries, which are charged from solar panels.
